Crafted Surfaces for a Curated Life — in Collaboration with Design Studio 91

Completed in Whitefield, Bangalore | Warm Beige Lime Plaster | Perlata Highlight Wall | Custom Microtopping Bed Base

🏡 A Villa That Breathes Through Its Lime Plaster & Microtopping Finishes

At Royal Touch, we believe finishes should do more than just cover surfaces — they should elevate them. In this recently completed villa project in Whitefield, Bangalore, we collaborated with Design Studio 91 to bring a thoughtful material palette to life using natural lime plaster, microtopping, and Perlata texture.

🎨 A Natural Warmth: Lime Plaster on Walls & Ceilings

The main living room, bedrooms, and passage areas were finished with a warm beige lime plaster, carefully crafted to flow from walls to ceilings in a seamless composition. This material was selected not just for its earthy beauty, but for its breathability, light responsiveness, and timeless minimalism.

✅ Seamless transitions

✅ Light-enhancing finish

✅ Sustainable and VOC-free

“Lime doesn’t just finish the surface — it adds soul to it.”— Royal Touch Finishing Team

🛏️ Microtopping on Custom Bed Base: Modern Meets Minimal

We extended our material expertise into functional elements by applying microtopping to a custom bed base, acting as a strong, monolithic base on which the bed structure was placed.

Microtopping was chosen for:

  • Its sleek, concrete-like look

  • Smooth texture

  • Durability on high-contact surfaces

The result? A cohesive, muted, and refined interior vocabulary that ties architecture with detail.

🌊 Perlata Wall Finish as an Artistic Highlight

One of the villa’s boldest design moments came in the form of a multi-tone Perlata highlight wall (see image below). With organic wave-like curves, this finish blended hues of ivory, taupe, and mocha, crafted in custom-cut layers for dramatic vertical movement.

Visual Depth. Artistic Geometry. Natural Reflection.

Layered Perlata texture crafted with precision — capturing movement, light, and tone.

🛠 Challenges We Embraced

  • Perfecting curve detailing across Perlata layers

  • Matching custom color tones specified by the architect

  • Ensuring seamless junctions between ceiling and wall planes

  • Creating durable base finishes without compromising aesthetic softness
